Our Foundation

More than just Fun

For more than 10 years, MPC Capital supports educationally disadvantaged youth with its Elbstiftung foundation.

Within the Elbstation Akademie project, young people rehearse plays, produce radio features and make movies, which are then presented in theatres throughout Hamburg.

Theatre

In the theatre group young people write their own pieces and bring moving stories to the stage. They learn various acting techniques, play different roles and enhance their performance skills. At the end of their performance, they receive standing ovations from large audiences.

Radio

Radio plays and features go “on air”. In the radio group teenagers learn stepby-step how to produce a radio show. They conduct interviews, do research, practice speaking into a microphone and cut audio files.

Film

Drama, action, or documentary – the imagination of young filmmakers knows no bound. Film group participants learn the secrets of the professional moviemakers. Fims can be watched on www.elbstation.de and the Elbstation YouTube channel.

Education is essential

Education is important for a career. Many children in Hamburg start school with a disadvantage. This is exactly where Elbstation comes in: We promote self-esteem and motivation, help young people become successful and facilitate their access to better education.
