MPC Capital is an international real asset and investment manager with a focus on three core segments: real estate, infrastructure, and shipping. We specialize in the development and management of real asset investments and investment products for international institutional investors, family offices, and professional investors.

For more than 25 years, we have identified and delivered real asset investment opportunities for investors and built strong relationships with carefully selected international partners in attractive market segments.
Leading Investment manager for 25 years
MPC Capital, listed since 2000, was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of the international MPC Group. MPC Group is now the primary shareholder of MPC Capital. With EUR 4.7 bn of Assets Under Management (as of 06/2021), MPC Capital is a leading investment and asset manager for real assets employing approximately 200 members of staff.
Located at the traditional Palmaille street in Hamburg, MPC Capital was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of the international trading house MPC Münchmeyer Petersen.
MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital went public in 2000. While the company initially focused on ship investments, the product range was significantly expanded during the following years.
In 2004, MPC Capital became the leading issuer of closed-end retail funds in Germany.
The repositioning as an international asset and investment manager for institutional clients was initiated in 2012.
MPC Capital manages EUR 4.7 bn in assets (AuM as of 30 June 2021).

Ulf Holländer joined MPC Capital in early 2000 and was appointed to the Management Board in July 2000, in April 2015 he became CEO. His responsibilities include Infrastructure and Real Estate Netherlands.
Previously he held executive positions at the shipping company Hamburg Süd and its subsidiaries in Australia and the US. Ulf Holländer is married and has three children.
Board Member Shipping
Constantin Baack has been a member of the Management Board of MPC Capital AG since April 2015 and has held various management positions for MPC Capital since April 2008. As Managing Director of Ahrenkiel Steamship, he was responsible for merging the shipping activities of the MPC Group.
Constantin Baack holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Sydney and previously worked for Ernst & Young and Reederei Hamburg Süd in Sydney. He is married and has three children.
Dr. Philipp Lauenstein
CFO (Chief financial officer)
Dr. Philipp Lauenstein has been a member of the Management Board of MPC Capital AG since April 2018. He has been with the MPC Group since 2016 and was most recently responsible for the finance department of MPC Container Ships ASA during its establishment.
Philipp Lauenstein holds a doctorate in economics and worked in a management consultancy prior to joining the MPC Group.

More than just Fun
For more than 10 years, MPC Capital supports educationally disadvantaged youth with its Elbstiftung foundation.
Within the Elbstation Akademie project, young people rehearse plays, produce radio features and make movies, which are then presented in theatres throughout Hamburg.
Drama, action, or documentary – the imagination of young filmmakers knows no bound. Film group participants learn the secrets of the professional moviemakers. Fims can be watched on www.elbstation.de and the Elbstation YouTube channel.
